I began organising pomsky meets in 2016, shortly after we got Scout. Originally it was used as a tool to keep in touch with Scout's litter mates and keep other litter mates and their owners in touch. However, the demand for larger and more organised meets kept increasing. As the pomsky community grew, and I met more people, I realised how much I enjoyed bringing people together. People contacted me from multiple facebook groups, instagram accounts, it was hard to keep everyone updated, I needed a way to connect everyone together in one place. And so in 2019, Gemma's Pomsky Play Dates Uk was born...
Originally, I only expected 100 or so people to join the group and a few meets a year to be organised. However in 2022 we held 68 meets and hosted our first 'Summertime Pomsky Bash'. Which was held in birmingham, uk, and approx 80 pomskies attended. It was an amazing event, bringing owners from all over the uk together - Glasgow, London, Exeter, South Wales and even out of the UK owners, who came from The Netherlands! We had food, music, stalls, activities and a massive enclosed field to run free safely. Our 2023 Summertime Pomsky bash was even bigger and better, raising £1200 for charity! We held our 2024 Summertime Pomsky Bash on the 13th july and it was a success! We had tonnes of fun, raised money for charity AND met our record number of pomskies in one place - 81!
What once started as a passion project, has blossomed into a part time job almost, organising events, meets and creating a whole lot of fun for my pack as well as others.
We'd love to meet you, so if you have a pomsky already - join our facebook group 'Gemma's Pomsky Play Dates UK' or follow us on instagram @gemmaspomskyplaydatesuk.
If you don't already have a pomsky and are interested in the breed, please do get in touch with myself, so you can come meet me and the pack. For the safety of other peoples dogs, I will not allow non pomsky owners onto the Facebook group. However, you are more than welcome to come meet me/ join a meet that I am attending.
